George William Shaw, 85, of Norman, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2015.

George was born September 2, 1929, in Noble, Oklahoma, to William Henry and Annie Mabel (Cartwright) Shaw. He graduated from Noble High School. He then joined the US Marine Corp and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired after 20 years of honorable service. He later worked at Norman Regional Hospital in maintenance for several years. George was an active member of Meeks Chapel.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie, of the home; four children: Deborah Ann...

He is survived by his wife, Elsie, of the home; four children: Deborah Ann Taylor and her husband, Steve, Mary Lynn Boughan and her husband, Larry, Janet Michelle Shaw and Michael Dale Shaw; six grandchildren: Azeem and Razi Nasrullah, Jonathan Boughan, Natalia and Dalia Takidden, and Timothy Taylor; two great grandchildren: Daniel and Shia Takidden; and two sisters: Elizabeth Barnhill and Edith Donahue.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons: David and Joseph Shaw; one grandson: Joshua Nasrullah; and one brother: John Shaw.

Memorial service will be 10 am Saturday, April 4, 2015, at Meeks Chapel with Rev. Terry Burchett, officiating.
