Willie Kennedy, 85 of Noble, born in Lone Grove, OK on July 24, 1925 passed away October 30, 2010 in Oklahoma City. He retired from the FAA. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred; two sons, Micheal and Bruce. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen; Brother Jack, Sister Edna, and children; Margaret and husband Joe, Peggy, Bill and wife CeCe, Jimmy and wife Debbie, Terry and husband J.C. Two step-daughters; Maria, Elaine and husband Eddie; two step-sons; Thomas, Richard and wife Linda, twenty grandchildren, 48 great-grand children, many nieces and...

Willie Kennedy, 85 of Noble, born in Lone Grove, OK on July 24, 1925 passed away October 30, 2010 in Oklahoma City. He retired from the FAA. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred; two sons, Micheal and Bruce. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen; Brother Jack, Sister Edna, and children; Margaret and husband Joe, Peggy, Bill and wife CeCe, Jimmy and wife Debbie, Terry and husband J.C. Two step-daughters; Maria, Elaine and husband Eddie; two step-sons; Thomas, Richard and wife Linda, twenty grandchildren, 48 great-grand children, many nieces and nephews. Willie was a Patriot and he served in the Army during WWII. He was a Paratrooper with the 101st airborne division. He survived nine months in a POW camp after being captured when he was wounded. He earned numerous medals including the Purple Heart. His hobbies included being a ham radio operator (W5UCH) and electronics. Willie was a faithful member of the Etowah Baptist Church where he attended many church functions. He was an amazingly gracious man who will be greatly missed.
